As a tin whistle player and guitarist with a taste for celtic and Australian folk, Dave has been adding a bit of whistle to the colonial trad punk outfit 'Catgut Mary' having played in traditional celtic folk band 'Ardmore' since the middle 90s. He's played at a wide range of festivals including Numeralla, Maldon, Illawarra, Kilmore, Mt Dandenong, a regular The Basin music festival, and a few bit parts at Port Fairy. As a sessional musician, he's recorded tin whistle for The Go Set, The Idle Hoes and others in a wide variety of styles.

Dave is now playing every Friday night at 'The Acorn on Forest' from 7:30 with a mix of original songs, covers and folk joined by Mal Leather, Ray Smith and an occasional wandering (or wondering?) minstrel. Sunday afternoons he plays in a more laid back acoustic style at The Acorn from 1 to 3.

Located in Melbourne's outer east, Dave runs sound at a variety of venues for small bands, festivals and parties for several years now, just call if you want any such 'gizmadry' looked after.
